Pierre Jorge Gonzalez and Judith Haase

Founded in 1999, Pierre Jorge Gonzalez and Judith Haase opened their architectural firm in Berlin and Paris. The principal practices are architecture, scenography and lighting.
In New York working with Richard Gluckman and Robert Wilson for his Watermill Center provided first occasions to consider ways of presenting art through architecture.
The interaction of lighting and architecture remains a primary focus for the conception of spatial contexts for art and art-related activities. The atelier has a well noted reputation for its involvement with contemporary artists, curators, or collectors to create the appropriate space to feature an artwork, a luxury product or a body for a performance. Examples include the well known Gallery Nordenhake in Berlin which has become a new model for gallery design, or the Andreas Murkudis Stores.

Pfau Long

This group of designers continuously seeks new and experimental technological means in their use of building materials, assembly methodology and aesthetic considerations. The firm also seeks to advance the integration of technology, exhibits, graphics and other design disciplines in their approach to create interactive environments that are responsive to people. The project work itself ranges significantly in scale, type and content; it includes exposition, exhibition, educational, residential, multi-unit housing, multi-media buildings, and commercial projects. Contrary to most traditional practices, the firm encourages no separation between the design and production parts of the work process; there is a strong belief that the process of design and innovation must continue during all phases of design and construction while at the same time being relentlessly practical. Hallmark’s of the firm’s work are a frankness of building materials; an ability to achieve interesting, novel results within established budgets; making a strong and fulfilling statement for the client; and a commitment to clarity of thought. This ultimately leads to better living spaces, work environments and the overall understanding of architecture as an extension of the human experience......Pfau Long

Plus31ARCHITECTS

+31ARCHITECTS was founded in 2005 by Jasper Suasso de Lima de Prado and Jorrit Houwert. They both graduated at the Technical University of Delft in 2001.
+31ARCHITECTS is a young and multidisciplinary office, operating in the fields of architecture, interior design and urban planning. +31ARCHITECTS doesn’t see it merely as their task to deepen and translate the space allocation program into a design but also give the client insight of the possible potentials which lie in the assignment. With each type of assignment the dialogue between client and architect is essential. +31ARCHITECTS strives, in her way of working, to a fully accompany of the assignment, from design to delivery. We cooperate on project base with a team of consultants. +31ARCHITECTS stands for a clear design were the form has been worked out in all its details. The Work of +31ARCHITECTS shows a variety of assignments with key words as: openness, clarity, order, material use and details. Just like the relation between interior and exterior these terms are inextricable connected to each other.

Parasite Studio

PARASITE signifies for us a change of attitude. It means to refer to the project from “above”. We are interested in the conflict between old and new and not in the integration of the design through materials and details. We believe that exactly this conflict could generate a different type of spatiality. We are not interested in the forms of “correct architecture” because we want to make a further leap. Architecture has to start to shape space in a different way, details must be seen in a contemporary fashion, they have to complete space instead of being the generators for architecture and theme. The lack of details of the contemporary buildings must be understood as a change of architectural attitude, architecture has not grown poorer but has become something different.

prevostweir architects

The primary concern of prevostweir architects is in producing a building that draws all it possibly can from its potential - recognising the opportunities that present themselves, and making sure that these aren't missed.
prevostweir architects, under principal David Weir and consultant Ariane Prevost, combine a wealth of varied experience and knowledge with a desire to push beyond the limits of expectations and assumptions. We seek to present ideas previously unconsidered, and to collaborate with our clients to realise a project’s full worth.
We believe in the idea that a big building can be sensitive and that a small building can be a jewel.
in the idea that a building should be crafted and sculpted
that a building can provide insight and expression
-be responsive to, responsible for and aware of its place, its inhabitants and its purpose
-be born of experience and imagination and be imbued with fun and interest and intrigue
-be clever/simple/unique/sophisticated…

PHILIP MICHAEL WOLFSON

PHILIP MICHAEL WOLFSON, born 1958 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, studied at Cornell University, School of Architecture, Ithaca, New York and the Architectural Association, London, England.
On graduation, PHILIP MICHAEL WOLFSON worked with Zaha Hadid at the outset of her career, leading design teams on numerous projects, and establishing a strong collaboration with her office which subsequently spanned some 20 years.
Since setting up his own practice in 1991, PHILIP MICHAEL WOLFSON has worked throughout Europe and the USA , predominantly on residential interiors and exhibition/gallery design pieces.
PHILIP MICHAEL WOLFSON designs are radical and greatly inspired by the early experiments of the Russian and Italian Modernist movements. PHILIP MICHAEL WOLFSON combines a unique approach to design, as informed by the dynamics of fracture and fragmentation – layering and manipulating his materials into fluid shapes and forms, where shadow and reflection are an integral part of the seduction of the work.
The exquisite use of noble materials, as well as new materials, brings dynamic elegance and an individual contemporary feeling that enhances his unique approach toPHILIP MICHAEL WOLFSON own ideal of design.
