AR43

AR43 was founded by Lim Cheng Kooi in Singapore in 2006. Prior to this, Cheng Kooi was part of a trio of designers heading the renowned practice of Forum Architects. During his 12 year partnership with the firm, he was involved in a variety of projects, many of which have received awards and recognition through publications in top architectural journals.

Cheng Kooi has previously worked with William Lim Associates, an architectural firm widely respected for its innovative and unique designs. He has also worked in Akitek Tenggara II under the mentorship of Mr Tay Kheng Soon. Mr Tay remains one of the most deeply respected Singaporean architect of today.

His works comprise commercial, residential and hospitality architecture & interior works. He has also carried out charitable projects. The Karuna Home for the Disabled located in Bylakuppe in the district of Mysore, Karnataka State in South India is one such project he has undertaken.

An avid designer and self-taught painter, Cheng Kooi devotes himself not only to furthering his practice, but also painting and sculpture. His designs are an act of continual exploration based on knowledge and experience gained from the many influences in life.

Architects Designhaus

Architects Designhaus is a contemporary architectural practice created by its Directors Richard Crawford, Andrew Shurman and John Padas to promote a ‘studio ethic’ in design, with a high standard of commitment to clients and strong technical bias towards the construction industry.

This ethic continues the practice of architecture which has lasted 150 years since the establishment of the practice by Henry Hunter, but permits all offices to develop their own design focus in a collaborative studio atmosphere.

The diversity of projects undertaken by Architects Designhaus varies from the small, boutique domestic scale project, to large developments and everything in between. architecture+ is a design and service-oriented architectural and planning firm located in Troy in New York's Capital District. We provide services for healthcare (including psychiatric care facilities and acute care hospitals), education, library, religious, government, commercial, community and residential clients.

Since 1984 we have evolved into one of New York's most respected firms. Our blend of size and experience enables us to provide architectural services to clients whose projects are extremely diverse in scope and nature. Our affiliations include membership in The Center for Health Design, a leading research and advocacy organization, and the U.S. Green Building Council, a non-profit organization dedicated to sustainable building design and construction

Adam Khan Architects

The practice was formed in 2006 by Adam Khan, previously an associate at Caruso StJohn Architects. Based in London Bridge with a team of two architects and one assistant, the practice has established a diverse portfolio of projects; working with artists, gallery owners, regeneration agencies, housing developers, and private residential clients. A recent competition win has led to a commission for a Youth Centre in Kings Cross.
Across all of the projects there is a consistent commitment to beauty and sociability, to collaboration and engagement across disciplines and social boundaries. This has resulted collaborations with artists, work on large scale urban design projects with major developers, and ongoing visioning work in Peckham, bringing together diverse stakeholders and community user groups.

ARCHITECTURES DAVID TAJCHMAN

Born in 1977 in Brussels, Belgium, David Tajchman studied architecture at Univerisité Libre de Bruxelles – Institut Victor Horta and at The Bartlett School of Architecture. He has been living in Brussels, London and Paris. After having worked as project leader for several architecture and design practices including Dominique Perrault, Jacques Ferrier, Stéphane Maupin and Patrick Jouin, he founded his own architecture agency in 2009 simultaneously in Paris and Brussels.

Teaching and lecturing experiences include a permanent position as Professor at Ecole Spéciale d'Architecture in Paris (2011 > present) and Tutor with Sir Peter Cook (2009 > 2010), guest lecturer at Institut Supérieur d'Architecture Victor Horta in Brussels and The Centre for Contemporary Architecture in Budapest. He is a guest professor leading workshops at LTH Lunds University in Sweden.

David Tajchman's works have been widely published and shown all over the planet. The agency focuses on innovative, original, different and inventive projects. Working at all scales, from urban design to product design, from the city scale to the furniture element, every proposal would be a specific response to the clients needs, site location and cultural background.

ARCHITECTURES DAVID TAJCHMAN has developed a strong and complex approach of making, through international competitions with several shortlisted entries gaining worldwide recognition and interest. Every project starts with a narrative fiction on the project, derived into three-dimensional visuals telling the specific atmospheric and aesthetic perspectives, together achieving a form finding, bearing in mind that the computer files are also used to build physical and experimental models using rapid prototyping techniques, ending with the imagined building as a well thought and tested prototype. The new crafts are now combined with industrial processes, changing and influencing architectural ways of productions on both creative and building aspects. This could sound futuristic, not that much: industrial design uses those techniques for a long time now, we are just adapting the scale to envision the future differently.

Alric Galíndez begins as an office in 1995, and from the very beginning produces different kinds of works showing special emphasis in modern proposals.
The office has specific interest in professional training and growth of the team, thus taking part in national and international contests, and teaching at the Universidad de Buenos Aires confirms such interest.

About: blank architecture is a company founded in 2006 by André Lira and Érika Santiago, which develops multi-disciplinary projects in several countries, supported in its strong business, conceptual and ethical values. The concepts inherent to the development of our projects are based on regulatory principles such as integration, innovation and sustainability. ABA has diversified along with its growth and exceeded the limits of architecture and planning. Arild Eriksen

Arild Eriksen was born in 1973 in Bergen, Norway. He received his Master from Bergen School of Architecture in 2004. He worked at Griff Arkitektur from 2005 to 2006, and has been working at Kristin Jarmund Architects since 2006. His work at Kristin Jarmund Architects includes Sogn Arena, Gjerdrum Secondary School, University of Bergen Dentist Faculty and Hus 21 at Tjuvholmen, Oslo. Atelier Peter Kis

Established in May 1997, the studio deals with architecture, interior design and landscape planning. The quality of our work has been recognized by several Hungarian and international awards, competitions, publications and exhibitions. The studio was first established in the tower of the ‘Pachydermi’ House at the Budapest Zoo. Further on it is located in the penthouse of the Large Predators’ House’s monument building. AZC is an architectural firm founded by Grégoire Zündel and Irina Cristea in January 2001, first located in Alsace, and since 2005 in Paris.

We became architects gradually during a process shifting us mentally and geographically.
