Cook and Robotham are essentially hands-on designers - enthusiastic and rapid-fire in their response to new briefs and new issues. Backed up by a small team of experienced constructing architects and by a growing coterie of young architects and graduating students hand-picked through the principals' direct involvement with some of the world's leading architecture schools.

Professor Sir Peter Cook
A founder member of Archigram. Peter Cook was born in Southend-on-Sea. Architectural Studies at Bournemouth College of Art were followed by those at the Architectural Association in London where he subsequently taught from 1964 to 1990. From 1984-2004 he was Professor of Architecture at the Staedelschule in Frankfurt and from 1990 to 2006 Barrtlett Professor and Chair of the Bartlett School of UCL. As member of Archigram he was awarded the Royal Gold Medal of the RIBA. He also has received the Jean Tschumi Medal of the UIA, the Annie Spink award of the RIBA. He is a Commandeur d'ordre des atrs et letters of France. He was made a knight bachelor in the Queens Birthday Honours of 2007. He has innumerable books, publications exhibitions and prizes.

Gavin Robotham
Gavin Robotham was born near Norwich in the 'Broads' district of lakes and marshes: a strong influence upon his work. Studies at Brighton (RIBA Bronze Medal runner-up) SCI-ARC, The Bartlett UCL (British Association Prize and Distinction) and Harvard GSD (Knox Scholar), have been followed by lead designer roles on the Sheffield 'Magnum Centre' (Stirling Prize 2001) and Libeskind's War Museum of the North. Member of a notable prizewinning quartet with with P.Cook, C.Hawley and C.J Lim he later joined Cook to form CRAB in 2005. He is also a design consultant to Populus. He has exhibited at the Venice Biennale and extensively elsewhere. His projects and drawings have been extensively published.
