Since the practice was formed in 1986, it has achieved a reputation for innovative projects working on designs for banks, offices, cafés, fashion shops and substantial private residential properties.
The varied work of the studio over the past 15 years shows an ability to carry out work on different building types.
The successful design of the Cyberia Café at the Centre Pompidou in Paris led to further work on Internet Cafés in Bangkok, London, Manchester and for Granada.
A major fit out for RealNames California and a further project for a new headquarters building for the same client.
Other commissions include various contracts for the German Foreign Office, headquarters for two European Banks, a corporate fit-out in the International Financial Centre (former Nat West Tower) in the City of London and various projects for the BMW Group in Oxford.
The practice has experience working with listed structures for private clients in the UK, Germany, Italy and Switzerland. We are known for the application of technology in our projects. We believe in innovation where appropriate and where this will improve the end product and result in a more economic solution.
This aproach has created adaptable working environments that stimulate and excite. Colour and light have become integral in our approach which we use as a material rather than an application. The practice has a track record of delivering distinctive, flexible, innovative buildings and interiors. In response to the particular challenges of these specific briefs and the constraints of time and budget we have generated solutions that result in clients returning to us with repeat commissions.
