Christina Perrin
Natural sexiness, an air of nonchalance combined with an edgy amusing slant. This is Christina Perrin’s forte. Inspired by legendary fashion icons like Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent and Elsa Schiaparelli, Perrin’s hallmark has become sleek silhouettes in luxurious fabrications with an eye for rich color and detail. Christina Perrin’s avant-garde use of leather and fur, unusual tailoring, and her choice of distinctive fabrics has garnered her an ever-increasing following. Her day and evening wear are sophisticated, body-enhancing and always accessible.
With a showroom and design studio on Seventh Avenue, Christina Perrin works closely with Film Fashion in Los Angeles to dress a vast array of Hollywood’s hottest young stars, including: Charlize Theron, Holly Hunter, Hilary Swank, Leelee Sobieski, Sela Ward, Debra Messing, and Portia de Rossi. Christina’s designs will be featured onscreen in “Legally Blonde” starring Reese Witherspoon.
Christina Perrin graduated from Babson College with a B. S. in Business Communications and Entrepreneurial Studies. Turning her attention to a lifelong dream of fashion design, she attended the University of Cincinnati School of Design in her hometown, moving to New York in 1996. The daughter of a Swedish artist whose work brought her to the United States with the Smithsonian Institution during the 1960s, and an engineer, a third-generation entrepreneur, Perrin, combines her aptitude for business with a visionary style sense to produce unique, beautiful and eminently-wearable dresses.
For the past nine years, Christina has made children’s causes a priority, working closely with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and has recently been involved in a project with Jacques D’Amboise and the children of the National Dance Institute. Christina has also been active with the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund.
Perrin lives in a loft in New York City’s Tribeca with her dog George, and continues to pursue her love of architecture, nature and travel.
