Normal Architecture Office
Normal Architecture Office (NAO) is a design practice for conceptual and built architecture, curating and urbanism.Normal Architecture Office's founder and chief designer is Srdjan Jovanovic Weiss, with Katherine Carl and E. Thaddeus Pawlowski as principal advisers. Weiss is an Assistant Professor at Temple University, Tyler School of Art_Architecture. He was educated at Harvard University studying with Rem Koolhaas, Jacques Herzog and Richard Gluckman with design experiences from Herzog & de Meuron Architects in Basel, Gluckman Mayner Architects in New York and from collaborations with artists Jenny Holzer, Robert Wilson and Marjetica Potrc. Previously he taught at Harvard GSD, University of Pennsylvania, Columbia University, Parsons School of Design and Pratt Institute. Katherine Carl is an art historian and curator educated at Stony Brook University and Oberlin College with curating experiences from The Drawing Center, The DIA Center for the Arts and Artslink in New York and National Endowment for the Arts in Washington D.C. E. Thaddeus Pawlowski is an urbanist educated at Penn School of Design and currently he is Associate Urban Designer at the New York City Department of City Planning.
