Divercity Architects
The architecture and construction practice Trac was founded in 2005, in Patra, by Dimitris Travasaros, Nicholas Travasaros and Takis Travasaros.
Divercity was founded in 2004, in Athens, by Nicholas Travasaros and Demetra Karabelia. Dimitris Travasaros joined the team in 2006 and Christos Dimitroukas in 2008.
During this period we have come to realize that in a world that is constantly accelerating, architecture is bound to overcome its traditional boundaries; It will become the basis for the creation of a platform of hybrid situations and events, programmatically and technologically expanded. There will be a new way to "see" architecture. This new sight will bear no resemblance to categorization: it will deal with complexity and diversity.
Consideration for the understanding of the multi-programmatic demands within the context of the contemporary city and suburb, along with the exploration of the new possibilities of innovative technologies, has lead to the evolution and establishment of the team in the field of architecture and construction. Based in Patra and Athens, the practices have successfully completed a series of projects all around Greece and have demonstrated their ability to handle different briefs and operate in a wide variety of contexts and diversified locations. With a new office in London (2007) they attempt to respond to an ever increasing and diversified workload and expand to new territories. Their projects and work so far covers a wide range from private residences and housing complexes to hotels and commercial spaces.
The associate practices include 14 architects, 3 construction engineers, administrative staff, secretarial support and financial advisor, while being fully equipped with the necessary equipment and software.
We encourage team working and close collaboration with surveyors, civil and mechanical engineers, and specialized subcontractors in Greece and abroad. Works and projects by the team have been awarded in architectural competitions, presented in group exhibitions and published in architectural reviews both in Greece and abroad.
